Please be informed that currently there is a lot of congestion at Delhi international cargo terminal due to the ongoing renovation and expansion plans which will continue till 2011 end.
Consequently part of terminal is closed permanently thereby reducing the usable space for cargo.
Also the customs systems keep tripping and the documentation processing is very slow which has increased the documentation processing and customs clearance time by at least a day.
Due to this lack of proper infrastructure currently customs clearance is taking at least 02 days from the time we send the shpmt to the airport.
Would request you to keep all concerned informed. We shall keep you updated as and when situation improves.
Custom’s edi system has gone down since yesterday due to which there is delay in custom clearance process.
