The extra security check of cargo and trucks into the airports of Beijing, Shanghai and Qingdao has now started. This can cause longer handling and transit time for both export and import shipments in the Chinese airports than normal. Secondly, the local cost in China has increased because of the extra security and the reduced number of trucks which are allowed to drive especially in Beijing during the Olympics.
