This is to appraise you that the version 1.5 transition is still having a major impact on smooth handling of cargo in both export and import.
On the export side, latest data from our systems indicate that we have currently about 700 tons of cargo in the warehouse to be custom cleared, therefore, we are unable to accept new consignments.
On the import side, today we have generated only 10% of the daily gate passes leading to the entire warehouse being full as not enough cargo is moving out. We are now forced to conduct the flight check on the air-side apron and store cargo on the air-side itself. Additional security staff has been deployed on the air side to keep a vigil.
We have been continuously discussing with customs to facilitate the trade and improve the situation. Kindly bear with us till the situation is back to normal and systems are back in place.
