Please be informed that, a Coastal Lighter age Vessel has sunk in the Entrance of Chittagong Port Channel on 21/04/2009 night at 2115 hrs while carrying Cement Clinker from outer anchorage. CPA (Chittagong Port Authority) is trying to clear up the channel but still not succeeded even there is no alternative way to make arrangement for bringing the vsl. Only two vessels have been successfully sailed this morning.
FYKI, vessel incoming is still suspended and carrier unable to confirm anything about M/VSL connection until the situation became normal.
